| At this point in the book, I have started to realize some things about my own life. Many people in this world take their lives for granted. They focus on what they are missing and what they want. After reading half of this book, I learned that there is more to life than just material things. For example, our very freedom is taken forgranted. After reading about what life was like in the camps, it really made me appreciate what i have now. My prior knowledge of this event was not nearly as accurate as i had thought. I knew that they were murdered, but what i did not know was that they were constantly at work and did not have any time to themselves. Nightis brilliant in the sense that it illuminates and highlights the horrors of the Holocaust and gives the reader a first hand view of the event. |
